From the organizers of the Bisbee Prowl comes a new event in October of this year. Everything is tentative as of this announcement, but October 2-4 sound like the agreed upon date, and the city council has approved the event. Historic Allen street will still only be open to pedestrian traffic and the stagecoach tour, so don’t expect Harley’s lined up on the gravel. Do expect a bit more than the Prowl though, as there is physically more room for events.

The Prowl traded on its very unique attitude, with bikes filling up Brewery Gulch, but that also meant the event itself was basically parking and room to stand around and trade stories, while the venues had to take on a lot of the servicing of bikers. With Tombstone, there are vastly more restaurants and bars and more hotel rooms available.

The Prowl may be revived in subsequent years, since it happens in March and wouldn’t conflict, but for 2026, this is where the organizers are focusing. So far the only event announced is wall of death performances, but you can follow the event Facebook page to see the official schedule as it develops. Of course what we care about is food, but there’s no word yet on food trucks or cook-off contests.Tombstone’s local eateries are good but generally don’t have signature dishes, offering the usual American fare of burgers and borderlands foods.

Plenty good eats, mind you, but nothing outstanding. It’s easier to name a Burger the Ike Clanton or Big Nose Kate than to experiment.
